FAQ

  • Who is this conference for

ThriveLib is for anyone who works in libraries, including public, academic, school, or special libraries. It’s designed for library workers at all levels, including frontline staff, middle managers, and leaders.

  • When is the conference?

ThriveLib is a 3-day virtual event on August 13, 14, and 15 in 2025. The full schedule will be announced soon.

  • How will the conference be held?

All sessions will be hosted live on Zoom. Registration and session access will be managed through HeySummit.

  • What if I can’t attend live?

All registered attendees will have access to session recordings for 30 days after the event. You can catch up or revisit sessions at your own pace.

  • Will I receive a certificate of attendance?

Yes. All attendees will receive a certificate of completion for each live session attended or recording watched.

  • How much does it cost?

    We offer three pricing tiers:

Subsidized: For students and those who are unemployed or underemployed

Standard: The regular ticket price for most attendees

Pay It Forward: For those who can contribute more to help support others

  • Are group or institutional rates available?

Not at this time, but we are exploring this for future years.

  • Can I present at ThriveLib?

This year’s program is curated and by invitation. Future events will include an open call for proposals.

  • Will sessions include captions or accessibility features?

We are working to make ThriveLib as accessible as possible. Zoom-generated captions will be enabled, and additional accessibility options are being considered.

  • What makes ThriveLib different from other library conferences?

ThriveLib is built around a new kind of model, one that centers care, accessibility, and sustainability. This means all speakers are paid for their time and expertise, tickets are available on a sliding scale to make the event more accessible, and we’re using tools like HeySummit and Zoom to keep costs low and foster meaningful connections.
